Dark skies made the crowd of 1401 at Dreamspace Dome a little nervous, but the rain held off. Gavrilo Latinović was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Piter Almaeren and Aniello Montemurro. Dreamspace tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Hoek - Costa, Šula, Procee - Preungesheim, Samur, Wentzel, Andersson, Sanmartin - Bernhard, Davies.

A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for DeHoekschop. Lineup: Vondeling - Cardol, Zouaki - Robles, Polini, Yatsenko, Roosen, Morup-Jensen - Borredon, Jahl, Faast.

DeHoekschop's R. Borredon managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 4 minutes. 0 - 1. M. Robles increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. With the scoreboard showing that 22 minutes had been played, DeHoekschop nearly put themselves up another goal after R. Faast came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. The visitors' O. Jahl took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 28 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for DeHoekschop. At this point, it was obvious that the players of DeHoekschop lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. DeHoekschop claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

Had it not been for one of the home defenders, M. Robles would have put DeHoekschop up another goal 57 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. A marvellous Dreamspace effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 65 minutes by T. Bernhard, making the score 1 - 3. After 70 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed R. Borredon to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 4. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Zouaki from DeHoekschop a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 74 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! DeHoekschop's R. Faast was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 76 minutes. With 78 minutes played, E. Roosen nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. DeHoekschop had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

Dreamspace's top performer was clearly B. Davies. K. Hoek turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating DeHoekschop player was without a doubt R. Faast. D. Vondeling on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 4.
