A scorching day at fc TOET Arena, where 1717 spectators were in place for today's match. Paolo Bologni was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alberto Anero and Alex Clarke. TOET tactics involved an interesting 5-3-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Barnier - Langelaan, van Dooren, Juurikka, Malherbe, Aercke - Gündeniz, Kard, Staal - Derveld, van Dijck.

ooskappel decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Wiertlewski - Aimetti, Kasurinen, Bäumle - te Riele, Catabriga, Prodinger, Vilaseca, Pasman - Iacono, Bladér.

The referee showed TOET's V. Juurikka the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 24 minutes, ooskappel put themselves up 0 - 1, as V. Kasurinen finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. With the scoreboard showing that 25 minutes had been played, ooskappel nearly put themselves up another goal after W. Bäumle came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. After 34 minutes of game time, D. Bladér had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but R. Barnier was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. The ooskappel players could smell victory in the air. E. Aimetti wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for D. Baatje after 35 minutes. After the ball was lifted in from the left, W. Bäumle was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 38 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. C. Aercke made a superb strike after 39 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to ooskappel, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

ooskappel came close to extending their lead as M. Iacono delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 58 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. ooskappel's V. Kasurinen got himself booked for a foul. After 72 minutes, T. Catabriga made a complete fool of himself when he presented the ball to the feet of J. van Dijck who smashed it into the open goal for TOET. 1 - 1. With 74 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as J. van Dijck flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. B. Kard didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. With 82 minutes played, D. Baatje of ooskappel fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. ooskappel had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

The most dominating TOET player was without a doubt C. Aercke. B. Kard was a disappointment, however. ooskappel's top performer was clearly M. Iacono. D. Wiertlewski turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
