3913 fans braved the pouring rain at Refugio da Trindade. Marco Girardi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Edouard Martin and Michiel Leeuwenberg. Cambodja decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Festa - Gaardsøe, Dorne, Vanaliin - Magalhães Gonçalves, Madaleno, Butenko, Mpatistas, Pajareles - Sobral, Kvernberg.

Lockwitzgrund started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Canstein - Strohschehn, Veltins, Seyfried, Schnellhammer - Boensma, Feiler, Piccoli, Mönchmühle - Friedrichswahl, Trezeguet.

K. Kvernberg gave Cambodja the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 4 minutes in, Lockwitzgrund appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only poor. The goal for 1 - 1 was a funny story: after 21 minutes the seemingly nonchalant lob from Lockwitzgrund's R. Mönchmühle landed at the feet of E. Trezeguet who sidefooted it into the net - nice goal! The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to C. Madaleno, but the Cambodja player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! 34 minutes in, Lockwitzgrund's R. Mönchmühle received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 36 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and C. Madaleno gave the Cambodja supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 1. H. Friedrichswahl's speed was almost enough to give Lockwitzgrund a goal after 39 minutes, but his nice pass to E. Trezeguet was not taken care of properly. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Cambodja's S. Butenko increasing the lead to 4 - 1. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Cambodja lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Cambodja's S. Vanaliin was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 41 minutes. Cambodja solidified their lead at the 42 minute mark, as M. Sobral dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 1. Halftime score was 5 - 1. Cambodja claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 73 percent.

The Lockwitzgrund players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a passable organisation when the game started again. Cambodja managed to extend their lead to 6 - 1 when J. Gaardsøe cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. With 70 minutes played, A. Seyfried of Lockwitzgrund fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but I. Dorne showed great heart and had a good game. 78 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Y. Mpatistas broke through, making the score 7 - 1 for Cambodja. 81 minutes into the game, Lockwitzgrund had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. M. Sobral should probably have put his team up another goal after 83 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by F. Canstein kept the visitors in the game. C. Madaleno had a fantastic opportunity to put Cambodja up another goal 84 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Lockwitzgrund seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. M. Sobral squirmed through their central defence after 87 minutes, increasing the lead to 8 - 1. 87 minutes into the game, Lockwitzgrund seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. Possession in this half belonged to Cambodja, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.

The most dominating Cambodja player was without a doubt Y. Mpatistas. S. Vanaliin turned in a dismal performance, however. H. Friedrichswahl performed admirably for Lockwitzgrund. However, A. Seyfried made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 8 - 1.
