Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Park of Love saw a crowd turnout of 959.
Rico Züger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Noé Espinal and
Iago Colombo.
Hearts started off with a 5-5-0 lineup.
Lineup: Sucre - Papst, Yimei, Contreras, Naseer, Brandl - Haller, Virman, Perović, Ntab, Rauch -.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Hörnsen.

Hörnsen used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.

Hörnsen's
J. Pöchhacker had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 38 minutes having been played.
P. Jandl was the replacement.
Hearts were awarded a penalty with 41 minutes played, and
I. Virman made no mistake as he effortlessly slotted the equaliser home. 1 - 1.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1.
Hearts had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.
Hörnsen bypassed the midfield with their counterattack, leading to a free kick goal by
F. Ringstad for 1 - 2.
C. Stöckl was called on to replace Hörnsen's
F. Ringstad after 56 minutes following a nasty collision.
With 80 minutes gone,
F. Prigl suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Hörnsen caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Hearts's
E. Contreras was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 89 minutes.
D. Selladurai was given a chance to change things around.
Hearts needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 89 minutes
B. Perović made way for
J. Caetano.
The Hearts captaincy was handed to
