previous 3/10 next 5/10  Vitolas 0 - 0 YeiTeam (394116252)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 1061 to El Jaulón. Augustyn Slowik was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rendert Bouwman and Randy de Wael. Vitolas tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Violante - Maresma, Endrych, Lacarra - Gili, Pedrola, Simon, Valero Ríos, Sossai - Rojas Marcos, Litovchenko.

YeiTeam started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players took the field: Cana Galindo - Carbajo, Łyżwa, Kreutner, Aísa - Aleixandre, Ambrosetti, Berenguel, Frascella, de Paz - Ausió.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Vitolas. YeiTeam's R. Berenguel left the field after 17 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was D. Nedelcu. 22 minutes in, YeiTeam appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only excellent. With 27 minutes played D. Simon almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. C. Fernández was called on to replace Vitolas's D. Simon after 29 minutes following a nasty collision. There was concern in the stands when, at the 35 minute mark, YeiTeam's Ó. de Paz hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Vitolas claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of YeiTeam was able to get his message across, and raised YeiTeam's organisation to excellent. P. Ausió came close to putting the visiting team one up 61 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but M. Violante managed to tip the ball to a corner. 62 minutes into the game, YeiTeam seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a excellent level of organisation. I. Cana Galindo had to be alert to tip M. Litovchenko's fantastic penalty kick over the bar, denying Vitolas a chance at the lead. Vitolas had a chance to take the lead after C. Fernández's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 67 minutes. Vitolas could have put themselves ahead after 68 minutes but M. Litovchenko missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. Vitolas's F. Rojas Marcos tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Vitolas enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Vitolas's best player was F. Rojas Marcos. M. Violante was a disappointment, however. Most important YeiTeam player was P. Ausió. A. Kreutner turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 0.
