Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 1243 to
Estadio C.A. LOMENSE.
Robert Nicolaisen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Karl Wilfer and
Alessandro Candeli.
LOMENSE had chosen a strategic 3-5-1 formation.
Lineup: Huppertz - Mihaylov, Couturier, Peralta - Majer, Formenti, Bucchi, Burela, Dorekens - Feira.
Zuri-k-ta tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination.
They fielded: Drukman - Mena, Abaitua, Maaravi - Rocchia, La Torre, D' Andrade, Gamboa - Aruj, Unali, Giménez.
LOMENSE clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
The wings were the focus of most of Zuri-k-ta's attacks today.
LOMENSE took the lead 3 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as
P. Formenti elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
After 4 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
A. Majer might have resulted in another goal for LOMENSE. However,
S. Drukman made a spectacular save.
LOMENSE put themselves up 2 - 0 when
H. Feira broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
6 minutes in, LOMENSE appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
passable.
LOMENSE solidified their lead at the 7 minute mark, as
L. Burela dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in LOMENSE's
L. Burela increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of LOMENSE lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
4 - 0 was the halftime score.
LOMENSE enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 78 percent of possession.
During the break, LOMENSE's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to
solid organisation.
With 46 minutes played, the Zuri-k-ta coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
M. Humala came on,
M. D' Andrade had to leave the fray.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Zuri-k-ta's
F. Mena was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 48 minutes.
G. Sneekstra was given a chance to change things around.
Zuri-k-ta's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision!
C. Unali's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper.
Zuri-k-ta needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 51 minutes
F. Gamboa made way for
Á. Soler Turmo.
E. Bucchi struck a 30 metre free kick home 55 minutes into the match. 5 - 0 for the home team.
With 72 minutes played, LOMENSE's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
L. Burela he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 6 - 0.
This third goal completed a hattrick for
L. Burela.
LOMENSE's
E. Bucchi struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 7 - 0 after 77 minutes.
Possession in this half belonged to LOMENSE, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.
LOMENSE's best player was
H. Feira.
E. Huppertz turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Zuri-k-ta player was without a doubt
S. Giménez.
On the other hand,
L. La Torre's play was disheartening.
The match ends 7 - 0.
