A scorching day at
Stade de Gerland, where 40000 spectators were in place for today's match.
Bart Cirik was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Maximilian Justus and
Jonas Vinblom.
Vrazi decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
They fielded: Blaschke - Bujeda, Marinas, Yssing Hansen - Zbiňovec, Kuil, Siegenthaler, Ochoa, Zástěra - Zvaniņš, Pļāvējs.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Domanín.

Vrazi broke through on the left 4 minutes into the game, with
M. Siegenthaler firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead.
L. Dužda was called on to replace Domanín's
C. da Fontaneira after 20 minutes following a nasty collision.
H. Cuninghame-Green was handed the Domanín captain's armband.
Vrazi's
Ó. Bujeda swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
31 minutes into the game Domanín's
P. Patuleia found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1.
1 - 1 was the halftime score.
Vrazi enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.
The sun seemed to put
Z. Dmitruk in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
The visiting
L. Machala was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 84 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score.
The Vrazi coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy.
Sensing defeat in the air, the Vrazi manager directed
P. Zbiňovec and
R. Pļāvējs to change positions with each other. This was 84 minutes into the match.
With 85 minutes played, the Vrazi coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
C. Bécquer came on,
R. Pļāvējs had to leave the fray.
The home crowd cheered when, after 87 minutes,
G. Novak's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day.
88 minutes into the game,
M. Zástěra came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar.
A well placed corner kick from
M. Yssing Hansen was followed by
M. Siegenthaler's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Vrazi, the score now 2 - 2.
Domanín had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 89 minutes in when
Z. Dmitruk came up alone against
T. Blaschke who managed a block.
Vrazi claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
Still tied after 90 minutes, the match continued into extra time.
I. Haložan wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat.
The referee showed Domanín's
G. Novak the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Vrazi were forced into a substitution as
M. Yssing Hansen couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
D. Benítez to come in off the bench.
After 119 minutes, the Domanín coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
E. Kamleitner off the field.
C. Kopietz took his place.
The result was still a draw, so the match had to be settled with penalties.
Vrazi's
T. Blaschke made no mistake.
H. Cuninghame-Green didn't have a chance. 3 - 2.

H. Cuninghame-Green showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 3 - 3.

P. Zbiňovec didn't hesitate but
H. Cuninghame-Green managed the save, resulting in an unchanged 3 - 3 score.
Oh, the sweet feet of technical
C. Kopietz... His left one gave Domanín a lovely goal. 3 - 4.
A confident
S. Marinas of Vrazi put the ball right where he wanted, but
H. Cuninghame-Green was right there for the save. No goal.
Domanín's
V. Praded coolly put the ball past
T. Blaschke. 3 - 5.
Vrazi's
J. Ochoa kept his cool as he faced down
H. Cuninghame-Green. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 4 - 5.
Domanín's
I. Haložan was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 4 - 6!
Vrazi's
D. Benítez coolly put the ball past
H. Cuninghame-Green. 5 - 6.
Domanín's
H. Bojsen showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 5 - 7.
Vrazi's best player was
J. Ochoa.
However,
D. Benítez made a disastrous appearance.
Domanín's top performer was clearly
L. Machala.
On the other hand,
C. Kopietz's play was disheartening.
