The 2555 fans in attendance at Låvekra Grus were roasting in the hot sun. Narai Boon-nam was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Hadamar Bareyre and Martino Flores D'Arcais. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile F. Mühlheim. The referee showed Propeller's I. Heggli the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Many thought R. Feyling ought to have been awarded a penalty 34 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around G. Nierman after a determined run through the middle. 0 - 0 was the score after the first half. Propeller enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.

FCK fans held their breath as A. Solås scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! 66 minutes into the game, FCK seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 74 minutes, F. Mühlheim broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. K. Holland made a great block, though. The head of R. Feyling connected with a corner kick after 75 minutes, and the ball ended up with J. Gjønnes of FCK who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 2 - 0. Ater 76 minutes I. Heggli seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Propeller making it 2 - 1. 85 minutes into the game, FCK had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. Propeller claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 73 percent.

Most important FCK player was T. Nilsen. L. Fattorusso on the other hand, had a terrible day. P. Young performed admirably for Propeller. K. Wildman was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
