3134 punters turned up at Farb-Arena, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Eberhard Schaub was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Frank Endres and Tyrone Shafer. Strada tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. 2 minutes into the game, A. Brulmans almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. M. Hansson's lack of experience almost gave Strada a goal after 11 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. It wasn't a pretty goal, but the free kick by P. Všetička after 12 minutes somehow found its way past the keeper. Strada takes the lead, 1 - 0! The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. FK claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

After 61 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after P. Tillström made it through the middle and struck home to make it 1 - 1. S. Resende looked great 72 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' D. Fredholt. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to C. Gschwandtner, but the Strada player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! FK had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

Most important Strada player was L. Škola. However, E. Koterba made a disastrous appearance. FK's top performer was clearly A. Brulmans. On the other hand, M. Hansson's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 1.
