previous 2/2 next 2/2  trollac 0 - 2 Passing (394175268)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and l'alambic saw a crowd turnout of 732. Valery Khairov was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tony McInerney and Arvid Persson. trollac tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. The following players took the field: Stabel - Dauriac, Peugeot - Kerremans, Garel, Nachev, Blaul, Salinas - Wald, Martins, Borisov.

Passing decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. Lineup: Perret - Chapet, Martinez, Seymour, Tine, Fontaine - Cantin, Payraudeau, Froissard - Dumas, Pay.

trollac demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. L. Payraudeau was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Passing's defence 10 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 0 - 1. Passing's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 25 minutes gone, but F. Martinez's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by trollac, with 56 percent of the ball.

F. Dumas was, after 63 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper B. Stabel made the save. The visitors' F. Martinez took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 83 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Passing. F. Martinez came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over B. Stabel but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. After 89 minutes, trollac switched B. Stabel with P. Guerra, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. P. Guerra was the new captain of trollac - handed the armband by the departing player. With 89 minutes played, the trollac coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. A. Usatsiuk came on, C. Dauriac had to leave the fray. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, trollac's J. Peugeot was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 89 minutes. P. Koudelka was given a chance to change things around. Possession in this half belonged to trollac, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

trollac's best player was C. Garel. On the other hand, P. Guerra's play was disheartening. Passing's top performer was clearly M. Chapet. M. Pay turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
