A scorching day at
Carrington Park, where 3164 spectators were in place for today's match.
Defoe Brough was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ignasi Belloso and

At 30 minutes played,
E. Turcu came in from the right with the intention of giving Numbats the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar.
It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why
L. Krhin found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork.
Slack defending gave Numbats a chance to take the lead with 37 minutes played, but
J. Heathcote's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition.
Halftime score was 0 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Numbats, with 58 percent of the ball.
Numbats had a chance to take the lead after
M. Jurek's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 69 minutes.
The sunny day didn't make things easy for
D. Dobral who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch.
G. Griljec found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat.
Numbats got a penalty shot 87 minutes into the game, but
S. Aydın scuffed the shot slightly and
N. Vrhnjak was able to block.
Numbats claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.
After the regular 90 minutes, the agony of extra time followed.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
K. Ryder scored for Numbats putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 105 minutes.
With that Numbats had won the game in extra time.

S. Aydın turned in a dismal performance, however.

K. Brezar on the other hand, had a terrible day.
