It had rained all day, but 1450 hardy fans still made it out to Lions Arena. Candido Ferranti was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mike Büchner and Ralf Nugis. Polisportiva started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Mieskonen - Viggiani, Goncalves, Guettel - Åkesson, Morán, Kylián, Kralj, Gurnell - Lalande, Scardamaglia.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for "Co". They fielded: Harreß - Hernacki, Canedo, Penela - Portela, Noval, Onere, Zorita Muñoz, Ribera Guzmán - Pachamé, Kątnik.

Polisportiva saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Making his way up the middle 2 minutes into the match, D. Kralj almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Y. Harreß blocked it to keep the score level. The referee showed Polisportiva's M. Viggiani the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. With 10 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as S. Gurnell flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 16 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but J. Mieskonen got the best of it, blocking the shot from L. Zorita Muñoz. 31 minutes into the game, J. Mieskonen had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came M. Mallozzi. 32 minutes into the game "Co"'s B. Noval found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1. The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but M. Onere showed great heart and had a good game. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, L. Penela got himself booked. The manager of "Co" was not happy. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. "Co" claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

After 47 minutes, "Co" put themselves up 1 - 2, as C. Pachamé finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. D. Kralj, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. After 72 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave S. Portela a chance to increase the lead for "Co", and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 3. C. Pachamé received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 74 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 4. The "Co" fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when N. Kylián scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 2 - 4. "Co" enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

The most dominating Polisportiva player was without a doubt N. Kylián. G. Scardamaglia turned in a dismal performance, however. M. Onere performed admirably for "Co". L. Kątnik on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 4.
