Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 1548 at granota camp today. Renke Romauch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Thomas Jensen and Wilhelm Dorrepaal. Elda started off with a 3-3-2 lineup. Starters: Farand - Roštoks, Guzmán, van Bracht - Girón Pérez, Vino, Martínez Santa - Parann, Pietsch.

L2Squad had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. They fielded: Balevičius - Ostrvica, Olivares, Ronstrom - Gorman, Sunesson, Göransson, Dorobanţu - Petkutis, Buzys, Stoiber.

Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 5 minutes into the match left L2Squad's V. Dorobanţu completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. V. Petkutis received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 13 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The L2Squad fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Elda had no available replacements when M. Vino had to leave the game after 15 minutes because of a pulled tendon, leaving the team a man short. V. Dorobanţu came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over N. Farand but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. A drive down the left side allowed P. Sunesson to get in close and score another goal for L2Squad after 23 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 3. 33 minutes into the game, Elda had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. After 36 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave E. Stoiber a chance to increase the lead for L2Squad, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. After 40 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Elda found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to poor. It was 0 - 4 at the break. L2Squad claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 86 percent.

During the break, Elda's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to passable organisation. After 47 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for E. Stoiber who increased L2Squad's lead to 0 - 5. Given a free kick close to the byline, L2Squad tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let M. Göransson slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 6, 63 minutes into the game. After this, you could see that the players of L2Squad were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. 72 minutes in, Elda appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. The referee signalled a penalty 80 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. E. Stoiber knocked it home to make the score 0 - 7. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for E. Stoiber. With 82 minutes played, L2Squad put themselves up 0 - 8 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was P. Sunesson. 83 minutes into the game, Elda seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. Possession in this half belonged to L2Squad, who controlled the ball 86 percent of the time.

Most important Elda player was S. Roštoks. B. Pietsch turned in a dismal performance, however. L2Squad's best player was V. Petkutis. However, Ó. Olivares made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 8.
