Clouds darkened the skies at Nova-s Arena as 2228 spectators turned up for the match. Mestan Girgin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Diego De Santis and Christobal Sauerzapf. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Kilersi. Nova-s took the lead after 3 minutes as a result of F. Campione put Nova-s ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Nova-s had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

The incalculable A. Campione of Nova-s did everything right as he set up W. ten Hag for a goal after 57 minutes. Unfortunately, the strike missed its target. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 60 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving P. Nagoda completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. Nova-s's C. Rijnbeek left the field after 68 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was E. Drummen. Coming in on the left, E. Raspović did everything right to get a goal for Kilersi after 71 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. J. Langlois was called on to replace Kilersi's M. Halldorsson after 72 minutes following a nasty collision. Nova-s's L. Barda had an excellent opportunity after 75 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! R. Simões Oliveira should probably have put his team up another goal after 76 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by A. Mientus kept the visitors in the game. With 77 minutes gone, K. Bloem suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Kilersi caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. The referee showed Kilersi's K. Bloem the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Nova-s claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

Nova-s's top performer was clearly R. Simões Oliveira. E. Nellen was a disappointment, however. Kilersi's best player was P. Nagoda. However, J. Langlois made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 0.
