The 1140 spectators at red team Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Eric Vanneste was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Edward Buszta and Henry South. team decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players took the field: Dilena - Boia, Tóth, Piekarczyk, Pănescu - Sâia, Alexoiu, Mucică, Orsós - Altuna, Fernandes.

F.C had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Lineup: House - Lea, Tomodan, Gomez - Fritis, Fernandes Gouveia, Arellano, Ibáñez - Motrán, Flotow, Hellermann.

team clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. F.C's P. Flotow managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 5 minutes. 0 - 1. The goal for 0 - 2 was a funny story: after 6 minutes the seemingly nonchalant lob from F.C's T. Fernandes Gouveia landed at the feet of J. Motrán who sidefooted it into the net - nice goal! 9 minutes in, F.C appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. With 19 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed J. Motrán of F.C to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. After this, you could see that the players of F.C were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. team's H. Tóth was shown a yellow card after 21 minutes for slicing down an opponent. J. Motrán was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so F.C's W. Rojo had to come off the bench. L. Arellano of F.C was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by P. Flotow. At last, F.C's W. Ibáñez was able to backheel the ball in. 0 - 4. 36 minutes into the match, E. Gomez came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. There was concern in the stands when, at the 38 minute mark, team's V. Alexoiu hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Halftime score was 0 - 4. Possession in this half belonged to F.C, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

A review of the gameplan helped F.C get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. After 48 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave W. Rojo a chance to increase the lead for F.C, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 5. After 59 minutes, F.C's P. Flotow burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. After 68 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for N. Lea who increased F.C's lead to 0 - 7. With 70 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, T. Fernandes Gouveia needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. W. Ibáñez received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 71 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 8. The F.C fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The visitors' T. Fernandes Gouveia took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 73 minutes into the match. 0 - 9 for F.C. F.C enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

team's best player was E. Piekarczyk. However, H. Mucică made a disastrous appearance. F.C's top performer was clearly P. Hellermann. J. House was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 9.
