previous 4/4 next 2/4  Grom 0 - 3 NTS (394288932)

Clear skies welcomed the 1477 spectators who had made their way to Grom Grochow Arena. Pascal de Hoog was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vincent Teller and Nicolas Rader. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Grom. The following players had been chosen: Stendera - Boca, 仁泰 (Rentai), Torp - Túri, Cònsul, Sarid, Rüth, Januszewski - Łubniewski, Allinckx.

NTS started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. They fielded: Girards - Tamuz, Lanz, Babayiğit - Oudart, Berger, Smoody, Weijters - Całus, Luttrell, Delfosse.

Grom mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Grom were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. L. Berger received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 8 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. P. Stendera looked great 16 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' F. Babayiğit. 17 minutes into the game, Y. Tamuz almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 30 minutes into the match, and T. Weijters wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. After 35 minutes, NTS sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached L. Berger, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 2. By now, the players in NTS felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Grom's T. Rüth was shown a yellow card after 36 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by NTS, with 63 percent of the ball.

After 72 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed J. Delfosse to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. NTS's F. Babayiğit got himself booked for a foul. NTS's J. Delfosse made use of his speed to get free of the defence, but he still couldn't get a shot off 78 minutes into the match. With 83 minutes played, C. Oudart of NTS fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. NTS had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

The most dominating Grom player was without a doubt 胡. 仁泰 (Rentai). On the other hand, T. Rüth's play was disheartening. Most important NTS player was J. Delfosse. T. Weijters turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
