(394294131)

22-08-2012 18.05
1358 spectators arrived at
Seniors Japan Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Olaf Waidringer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Franck Galy and
Pierre Salome.
Japan decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Félix - Grzybkowski, Pogadaev, Roskosz - Radziuk, Grandry, Dahlsten, Omuşoru - D'Elia, Grodzki, Drabczyk.
Kags had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Starters: Emberg - Lund, Hyllested, Glud, Madsen - Văn Hưng, Rosenkilde, Hingebjerg, Lippert - Tornskog, Brix.
Japan were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
The wings were the focus of most of Kags's attacks today.
After a fine move down the middle
B. Roskosz nearly gave the home side a goal after 17 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
The referee showed Kags's
H. Tornskog the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Japan were forced into a substitution as
J. Grodzki couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
K. Berge to come in off the bench.
G. Grandry fired a shot from distance after 24 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for Japan.
O. Radziuk was very close to giving Japan the lead with an ingenious free kick routine 27 minutes into the match, but the ball just grazed the bar.
31 minutes into the game,
P. Brix had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
K. Drabczyk scored for Japan putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 33 minutes.
H. Tornskog made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner.
1 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in this half belonged to Japan, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.
With 69 minutes played, Japan put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
O. Radziuk, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Japan lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Kags's
A. Glud was shown a yellow card after 76 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Kags's
Đ. Văn Hưng somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for
P. Brix, who struck for 2 - 1.
Japan's
J. D'Elia saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 79 minutes.
A. Félix's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from
A. Hingebjerg's shot from the left 82 minutes into the match.
O. Radziuk's curling free kick almost found the goal for Japan, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it.
Japan claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.
Most important Japan player was
J. D'Elia.
K. Berge was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Kags player was without a doubt
L. Madsen.
L. Lund on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 1.
