The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 1709 had shown up at
Teatro de los sueños for the match.

Quilpué were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
At the 6 minute mark, it looked like the opportunity for Quilpué to score had been missed until
J. Chao suddenly worked his way clear and fired off a spectacular shot. The keeper had no chance! 1 - 0.
T. Fardel of 11Valerones was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Cheers filled the stadium as
R. Larrañaga broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Quilpué.
After this, you could see that the players of Quilpué were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
A bit later, 11Valerones's
H. Zwarthoed easily reduced the lead to 2 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1.
11Valerones claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.
The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 56 minutes,
I. Dalbi broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper.
E. Cividáns made a great block, though.
11Valerones made it 2 - 2 as
C. Mangini got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to
C. Pérez-Serrano who whipped a low drive in off the far post.
11Valerones's
E. Scantamburlo was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 69 minutes.
M. Dittmann would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
D. Portillo entered the game for Quilpué as the match clock showed 75 minutes.
80 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Quilpué substitution.
J. Reyes came on for
R. Barcelo.
81 minutes into the game, Quilpué wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
P. Parro gave
F. Jara a quick hug as he left the field.
A mistake by the home side's central defence after 81 minutes allowed
G. Serrano to score for 11Valerones. The scoreboard now read 2 - 3.
Y. Yun was called on to replace 11Valerones's
T. Fardel after 83 minutes following a nasty collision.
With 84 minutes played, after a good run down the left,
N. Freire went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving.
With 87 minutes played,
R. Larrañaga of Quilpué fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Possession in this half belonged to 11Valerones, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.
The most dominating Quilpué player was without a doubt
R. Larrañaga.
J. Reyes was a disappointment, however.
H. Zwarthoed performed admirably for 11Valerones.
On the other hand,
J. Ruponen's play was disheartening.
