Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
ISO Stadium 2012 saw a crowd turnout of 963.
Martin Hörnbeck was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
胡 (Hu) 军英 (Junying) and
Ferry Bommer.
9001 tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Makutėnas - Bellomo, Rondou, Carotti - Tedesco, Carnevale, Alunno, Trotta, Ricciardi - Frisgaard, Massoli.
Clarcus started off with a 2-5-3 lineup.
They fielded: Lemos - Demuro, Guandalini - Frankeser, Josserand, Sattler, Fluviá, Mottl - Murena, Cacicia, Berman.
The wings were the focus of most of 9001's attacks today.
After 17 minutes of play,
N. Tedesco gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right.
Clarcus had no available replacements when
H. Frankeser had to leave the game after 18 minutes because of a pulled tendon, leaving the team a man short.
When
L. Cacicia left the game because of a back injury after 30 minutes, Clarcus had to continue a man short due to there being no available replacements.
The home side's
B. Carotti came close to extending the lead 31 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
H. Lemos managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
B. Carotti from 9001 a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 37 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
B. Carotti behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 38 minutes as he gave the ball away to
G. Murena. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
Cheers filled the stadium as
M. Bellomo broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to 9001.
When
C. Guandalini was badly injured by a couple of strong tackles after 39 minutes, Clarcus fans were unhappy to discover that it was not possible to make a substitution.
N. Tedesco of 9001 seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 3 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
G. Alunno.
With 43 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Clarcus showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 3 - 1 when
G. Murena got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 1.
9001 had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.
64 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
N. Tedesco broke through, making the score 4 - 1 for 9001.
At that,
N. Tedesco was noted down for a hat trick!
It was obvious that 9001 had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
After 67 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
J. Frisgaard gave the 9001 supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 1.
Confident in their lead, 9001's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
Clarcus's
Y. Berman was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 77 minutes.
9001 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.
9001's top performer was clearly
J. Frisgaard.
L. Ricciardi turned in a dismal performance, however.
Y. Berman performed admirably for Clarcus.
A. Demuro on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 5 - 1.
