A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 2101 to Campo Diego Armando. Eduard Kübler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mouss Hanne and Geert Pronk. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Baad. The following players had been chosen: Middler - Stoopshill, Pedroso - Brownside, Mück, Kilner, Strongitharm, Beattie - Welshot, Pumphrey, Hölzl.

The wings were the focus of most of ELSV's attacks today. Baad took the lead 6 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. J. Stoopshill was the scorer. As the game started to slip away for ELSV, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. Players in ELSV heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. The crowd chanted their encouragement as ELSV's U. Abrantes Silva came in from the right after 12 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 1 - 1. L. Dwasch enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. It was obvious that ELSV had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. At 21 minutes played, U. Abrantes Silva came in from the right with the intention of giving ELSV the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. ELSV were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. With 29 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as U. Abrantes Silva flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. R. Mück made a run for the goal 31 minutes into the game but the home team's left back managed to sort the situation out in the end. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Baad claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

The ELSV players could smell victory in the air. A. Głuszkiewicz wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Martins Cunha after 46 minutes. J. Modzelewski unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. The coach of ELSV was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 61 minutes, I. Díaz came on for U. Abrantes Silva. A lovely run by Baad's L. Pumphrey left his markers for dead and should have resulted in a goal, but the finish went just wide. The visitors' L. Hölzl was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 2 - 2 after 70 minutes. As the 74 minute mark approached, the ELSV coach decided it was time for a substitution. N. Pastor reluctantly made way for D. Matuszewski on the pitch. The ELSV captaincy was handed to I. Díaz. 2 - 3 was the score with 74 minutes played, after R. Mück cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Baad. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Baad, with 55 percent of the ball.

ELSV's top performer was clearly L. Dwasch. On the other hand, A. Löwengrimm's play was disheartening. The most dominating Baad player was without a doubt D. Middler. M. Brownside turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
