Team had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 14 minutes, but H. Trung Lanh's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. Ghentizm solidified their lead at the 15 minute mark, as J. Andersson dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. N. Lai of Team was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 24 minutes into the game, T. Mậu Thi had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came S. Tràng. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Ghentizm to 3 - 0 as J. Andersson finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. By now, the players in Ghentizm felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 35 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as M. Cohen broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for Ghentizm. 39 minutes into the match, Ghentizm's M. Teixidor demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to C. Direnç who chipped it in for 5 - 0. Team's C. Mavuso got himself booked for a foul. 5 - 0 was the halftime score. Ghentizm enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 79 percent of possession.

A great save by keeper H. Quang Hùng after 55 minutes kept the visitors in the game after A. Abuksis struck from the left with a real cannonball. Team earned themselves a free kick after a counterattack wasn't dealt with adequately by their opponents. V. Văn Toàn powered the shot in for 5 - 1. C. Direnç increased the lead for Ghentizm to 6 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! With 61 minutes played, V. Văn Toàn of Team fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Ghentizm's C. Direnç struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 7 - 1 after 77 minutes. This third goal completed a hattrick for C. Direnç. Ghentizm claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 81 percent.
