Dark skies made the crowd of 2541 at Real Clavis Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Perry Gansler was the appointed referee. Clavis had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Basior started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. Starters: Ciullo - Zegan, Landreau, Drózd, Gotfredsen - Zhelyazkov, Lubarski, Arteixo, Odrzywołek, Vasiliev - Świerczewski.

Basior saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Clavis took the lead 4 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as L. Cantone elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. After 12 minutes, E. Ščiukauskas put Clavis ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. C. Velez increased the lead for Clavis to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! At this point, it was obvious that the players of Clavis lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The home side's C. van Erp curled a free kick home after 16 minutes, putting Clavis ahead 4 - 0. Clavis's H. Kejlberg saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 17 minutes. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Clavis, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.

Clavis put themselves up 5 - 0 when J. Vale broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Clavis to 6 - 0 as H. Kejlberg finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. A. Mac Auliffe unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Clavis's J. Vale had an excellent opportunity after 74 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! After 86 minutes, Clavis felt secure enough to make a tactical change. Z. Marful and J. Vale assumed each others positions on the field. Clavis claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 68 percent.

C. van Erp performed admirably for Clavis. On the other hand, I. Stocke's play was disheartening. The most dominating Basior player was without a doubt A. Arteixo. C. Landreau was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 0.
