Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 534 to
Angel's Stadium.
Tim Pante was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Manuel Calavera and
Rodebert Schittig.
AMG decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Jacewicz - Lavier, Hoareau, Vix, Gitton - Lechevallier, Dauge, Larzillière, Ratouli - Brochard, Ré.
hoéhoé! tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
Lineup: Prigent - Valenzuela Trillo, Pagter, Gelei, Santigosa - Davidsen, Burlot, Debras, Chechłacz, Hodorog - Mendelssohn.
The wings were the focus of most of AMG's attacks today.
The visitors grabbed the lead after
S. Debras's free kick succeeded, resulting in a score of 0 - 1.
The referee showed AMG's
W. Brochard the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Players in AMG heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead.
C. Ré was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for AMG with a strike from the left, but
D. Prigent managed to ward the shot off for a corner.
After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 22 minutes into the match, an alert
C. Ré bagged the ball for AMG, levelling the score to 1 - 1.
The visiting
D. Davidsen was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 28 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score.
W. Brochard was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a AMG counterattack from the left after 31 minutes. His neat finish made the score 2 - 2.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
S. Burlot from hoéhoé! a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 33 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
2 - 2 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by AMG, with 55 percent of the ball.
This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when
I. Hodorog slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against
M. Jacewicz, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes.
59 minutes into the match, the visiting hoéhoé! made the score 2 - 3 after
S. Debras executed a perfect free kick.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, AMG's
F. Larzillière was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 67 minutes.
A. Blin was given a chance to change things around.
R. Ratouli became the new AMG captain.
After 67 minutes of play,
S. Lechevallier equalised for AMG after an elegant attack from the right.
With 75 minutes played, AMG's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
N. Gitton he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 4 - 3.
With 76 minutes played,
D. Davidsen came in from the right and could have evened the score, but the defenders successfully repelled the attack by hoéhoé!.
hoéhoé! nearly produced a goal as
S. Debras set up
I. Hodorog for a strike from a seemingly impossible angle. However he put the shot narrowly wide.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
J. Lavier got himself booked. The manager of AMG was not happy.
T. Elek was called on to replace AMG's
W. Brochard after 82 minutes following a nasty collision.
Possession in this half belonged to AMG, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.
AMG's top performer was clearly
J. Lavier.
M. Jacewicz was a disappointment, however.
Most important hoéhoé! player was
S. Debras.
On the other hand,
D. Prigent's play was disheartening.
The match ends 4 - 3.
