Baillard tied the game at 1 - 1 after 22 minutes, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. Leoes took the lead after 31 minutes making the score 1 - 2. T. Murillo placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. C. Serino's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. Leoes came close to extending their lead as G. Rothmann delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 34 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. Leoes's F. Baillard got himself booked for a foul. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Leoes claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

United's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 49 minutes gone, but U. Saccardi's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. 51 minutes into the match, A. Melita came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. A. Rocha increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 3. R. Ribeiro left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 76 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. L. Sacavém was the replacement. The heat made it a terrible day for L. Sacavém, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players. At 81 minutes into the game, United's E. Duru deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 2 - 3. After 82 minutes of game time, L. Sacavém had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but H. Mertekçi was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
