A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for botabaixo.

Quiche started off with a 4-5-0 lineup.
They fielded: Walle - Le Fèvre, Pitnauer, Moreau, Honorat - van Harten, Jansen, Thévenot, Misevičius, Carvajal -.
botabaixo created a good opportunity to score 4 minutes into the match when
F. Sircar's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball.
8 minutes in, Quiche appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
passable.
The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 15 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. botabaixo fans erupted in celebration as
R. Warmerdam rifled the ball into the the top corner. 1 - 0!
After 31 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Quiche found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
Coming from the right,
J. Miranda almost managed to score another goal for botabaixo, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
After 41 minutes, the defensive line of Quiche created a counterattack through the middle that gave
J. Carvajal a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by botabaixo, with 79 percent of the ball.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Quiche was able to get his message across, and raised Quiche's organisation to
solid.
botabaixo put in a good effort on the right, but
J. Miranda saw his volley fly wide of the mark 56 minutes into the game.
61 minutes into the game, Quiche had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
weak.
With 65 minutes played, botabaixo's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
P. Chilczuk he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 2 - 0.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the botabaixo coach let
N. Medina replace
S. Grinyó after 70 minutes.
71 minutes into the match
R. Warmerdam put botabaixo ahead 3 - 0 with a truly marvelous free kick.
After this, you could see that the players of botabaixo were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
F. Sircar of botabaixo was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
M. Stokowiec wanted to play on, but the botabaixo coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 73 minutes into the game by
S. Spall.
botabaixo put themselves up 4 - 0 when
F. Sircar broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
C. Moreau from Quiche a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 84 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
botabaixo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 82 percent.
botabaixo's top performer was clearly
J. Miranda.
On the other hand,
C. Figgis's play was disheartening.
S. Le Fèvre performed admirably for Quiche.
F. Thévenot turned in a dismal performance, however.
