By now, the players in Knickerbockers felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.

Knickerbockers claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.
After 47 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and S. Baeza
gave the Knickerbockers supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0.
caught everyone by surprise with a unexpected volley after 72 minutes. N. Haslauer
was perfectly placed to take advantage of the play, but unfortunately, he was as surprised as anyone and couldn't finish for Maege.
The home crowd just couldn't believe it when D. Mendonça
missed a penalty after 74 minutes of the match.
Knickerbockers's A. Lonfat
had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 79 minutes having been played. S. Wanert
was the replacement.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave S. Baeza
from Knickerbockers a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 86 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
The score became 4 - 0 at 87 minutes into the game, when Knickerbockers were given a penalty which D. Mendonça
blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance!
