Today, Rallea's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks.
For their match strategy, Tigers had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
Rallea's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing
B. Kavaz to score easily from the right flank for 1 - 0.
After 36 minutes, Rallea were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise.
L. Kazinczy did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans.
Coming through the middle
D. Anuchin almost scored the equaliser for Tigers after 37 minutes, but
M. Lindekvist made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
C. Pizarro from Rallea a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 39 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
In a fantastic display of determination, Tigers's
P. Llano forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down.
M. Iliescu's curling free kick almost found the goal for Rallea, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to Rallea, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
With 47 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after
R. Kargl came through the middle, but his kick went wide.
After 50 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
M. Maziashvili might have resulted in another goal for Rallea. However,
O. Pérez made a spectacular save.
The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 52 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when
D. Anuchin tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper.
The Rallea players could smell victory in the air.
C. Pizarro wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
D. Kovačić after 59 minutes.
With 66 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
Q. Aliberti needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
Rallea's
M. Maziashvili increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 67 minutes.
74 minutes in,
R. Rothmann made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but
M. Lindekvist refused to let the ball slip by him.
Rallea showed their counterattack skill 75 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with
R. Klinggaard scoring uncontested for 3 - 0.
The players of Rallea now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
Tigers's
R. Rothmann got himself booked for a foul.
The coach of Rallea was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 82 minutes,
N. Zagorakis came on for
V. Ivanović.
With 84 minutes played,
M. Iliescu of Rallea fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Tigers, with 54 percent of the ball.
R. Klinggaard performed admirably for Rallea.
On the other hand,
L. Kazinczy's play was disheartening.
Most important Tigers player was
Q. Aliberti.
N. Wollesen on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 3 - 0.
