Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 2974 at
Saulo Madrid today.
Hannu Foudi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Zack Cheval and
Luigi Ameri.
Desamparado decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Starters: Giuliato - Windisch, Fornals, Mičian - Echeberría, Olavarrieta, Bahno, Feo, Guerrero - Provencio, Mets.
Sebinia started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Fiano - Cioncolini, Faggiano, Butta - Minonzio, Loss, Ercolani, Vannata, Graton - Italiano, Celima.
After 1 minutes, the Sebinia coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
L. Graton off the field.
R. Brutti took his place.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
E. Provencio scored for Desamparado putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 8 minutes.
M. Mičian received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 11 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Desamparado's
C. Echeberría somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for
E. Guerrero, who struck for 2 - 0.
N. Windisch increased the lead for Desamparado to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
Desamparado's
V. Giuliato had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 32 minutes having been played.
Ó. Cendegui was the replacement.
Desamparado's
C. Echeberría was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 37 minutes.
Coming from the right,
C. Echeberría almost managed to score another goal for Desamparado, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
With 40 minutes gone, Desamparado's
C. Echeberría had to leave the pitch after talking back to the referee and receiving his second booking.
After 40 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Sebinia was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
E. Guerrero squirmed through their central defence after 41 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Desamparado lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Desamparado, with 57 percent of the ball.
47 minutes into the match,
E. Guerrero could have extended the lead, but his powerful free kick went just over the bar.
Sebinia needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes
F. Celima made way for
V. Calabrò.
The away team improved the scoreline to 4 - 1, as
R. Brutti struck home, set up well by a play on the left 71 minutes into the match.
The score became 5 - 1 at 82 minutes into the game, when Desamparado were given a penalty which
E. Guerrero blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance!
At that,
E. Guerrero was noted down for a hat trick!
The visitors replied 82 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 5 - 2, as
A. Italiano dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper.
Desamparado enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
Most important Desamparado player was
O. Mets.
J. Fornals on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Sebinia's best player was
V. Calabrò.
However,
C. Minonzio made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 5 - 2.
