Clear skies welcomed the 3768 spectators who had made their way to
Tornado Lucense Arena.

Tornado tactics involved an interesting 5-5-0 combination.

Trompitas had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.

It was obvious that Tornado were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic.
Trompitas used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field.
With 18 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as
P. Rodríguez flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
Trompitas pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times.
It was 1 - 0 at the break.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Trompitas, with 51 percent of the ball.
J. Benlliure left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
P. García was the replacement.
Trompitas needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes
O. Campbell made way for
I. Goverdovskiy.
I. Goverdovskiy was handed the Trompitas captain's armband.
Sensing defeat in the air, the Trompitas manager directed
F. Beccaris and

Maybe due to the uphill battle the team was facing, the Trompitas manager looked to change things around. After 46 minutes,

C. Valenzuela Porras swapped positions on the field.

M. Cuberas, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch.
After 75 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Trompitas found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
solid.
Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 78 minutes, Trompitas did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker,
N. Garnier was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 1.
89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Trompitas substitution.
C. Guiscafre came on for
N. Garnier.
Tornado had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.
After the regular 90 minutes, the agony of extra time followed.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Trompitas had
excellent organisation.
I. Savater would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
J. Valenzuela Serrano entered the game for Tornado as the match clock showed 91 minutes.
As the 91 minute mark approached, the Tornado coach decided it was time for a substitution.
V. Pont reluctantly made way for
O. Romero on the pitch.
With 95 minutes played, Trompitas's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
C. Guiscafre he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 2.
What a dramatic win for Trompitas!
Most important Tornado player was

V. Garabán on the other hand, had a terrible day.
C. Guiscafre performed admirably for Trompitas.
However,
M. Campos made a disastrous appearance.
