The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 2040 had shown up at
Thaibinh Arena for the match.

After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
G. Bertho scored for Thaibinh putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 14 minutes.
16 minutes in, RustyTrombones's
T. Einkemmer received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
With 30 minutes played, Thaibinh's
N. Anh Binh almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
D. Schwalbennest should probably have put his team up another goal after 33 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
S. Gomes kept the visitors in the game.
G. Bertho had a fantastic opportunity to put Thaibinh up another goal 34 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
After 35 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by RustyTrombones on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by
D. Fracassi to make it 1 - 1.
43 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Thaibinh was
T. Šimundić.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1.
Possession in this half belonged to Thaibinh, who controlled the ball 78 percent of the time.
After 46 minutes, RustyTrombones used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach.
The RustyTrombones coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy.
Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the RustyTrombones manager used a brief break in play after 46 minutes to give the players new directives.
N. Díez de la Losa could have increased the lead after 51 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
N. Doanh squirmed through their central defence after 58 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1.
After 84 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
T. Šimundić might have resulted in another goal for Thaibinh. However,
S. Gomes made a spectacular save.
With 85 minutes played,
G. Bertho could have brought this one home for Thaibinh as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
Thaibinh enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 74 percent of possession.
The most dominating Thaibinh player was without a doubt
M. Piguła.
However,
K. Kebis made a disastrous appearance.
