The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 3949 had shown up at
Vinnhorst Arena for the match.
Massimiliano Gabrieli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Edgar Mosquera and
Egon Sander.
Vinnhorst had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation.
They fielded: Castellbell - 恒强 (Hengqiang), Rosowski, Sennekamp, Bauernfried - Bogaard, Jensen, Hodits, Dubord, Nižić - Rostock.
pleymo tactics involved an interesting 5-3-1 combination.
Starters: Lambert - Bascuñán, Mentel, Montuori, Guzmán, Espasens - Riobo, Delobel, Bouguerra - Boitel.
pleymo tried to focus their attacks down the middle.
14 minutes into the game, pleymo seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
poor level of organisation.
C. Rohlf was called on to replace Vinnhorst's
简. 恒强 (Hengqiang) after 22 minutes following a nasty collision.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
E. Hodits scored for Vinnhorst putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 24 minutes.
Vinnhorst managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when
K. Nižić cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
Vinnhorst's
E. Jensen refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 29 minutes.
Vinnhorst put themselves up 3 - 0 when
K. Nižić broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
C. Rohlf had a fantastic opportunity to put Vinnhorst up another goal 36 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0.
Vinnhorst had most of the ball, with 86 percent of possession.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that pleymo had
passable organisation.
With 74 minutes played,
S. Bascuñán of pleymo fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
A. Bogaard was doing a great job on his wing, sending in brilliant passes to his teammates in the middle, but
M. Rostock seemed unable to profit from this excellent service.
C. Rohlf increased the lead for Vinnhorst to 4 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
After 86 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as pleymo found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
Vinnhorst claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 85 percent.
The most dominating Vinnhorst player was without a doubt
E. Jensen.
M. Rostock turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important pleymo player was
J. Boitel.
J. Guzmán on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 4 - 0.
