The boys of Hague 2 started the game in a 3-5-2 formation. The lucky starting players: Veldmate - Bols, Ligthart, Ljubojević - Hirdes, Jakšić, van Bracht, van Bremen, Pijnenburg - Linderhof, van Leest.

Hague 2 concentrated their attacks to the middle of the field today. The hardy few who followed the home team breathed a collective sigh of relief when S. Jakšić stumbled on the ball after his attack from the left in the 12:th minute. This eliminated his chance to give the visitors the go-ahead goal. The referee noted down 0 - 1 as the new score after 15 minutes. Hague 2's S. Jakšić had cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal. Did someone forget the pre-match briefing today? The FCLJ lads didn't seem to have a clue what to do, and their organisation level dropped to poor. S. Jakšić seemed a man among boys in that aerial challenge, following A. Linderhof's corner kick. He rose high to head home, bringing the score to 0 - 2 after 31 minutes of play. A haphazard combination through the middle gave Hague 2's A. Linderhof a decent chance to increase the lead, and he did not disappoint. The score after 33 minutes was therefore 0 - 3. At the halftime break, the score was 0 - 3. In this half Hague 2 were the most energetic, keeping the ball to themselves for 72 percent of the time.

A quick review of the game plan helped FCLJ get back to a passable organisation. Some fine maneuvering on the left led to a goal for the young Hague 2 side after 52 minutes, making it 0 - 4. The referee announced S. Pijnenburg as the scorer. H. Warnaar had the right intentions in that sequence, but his execution was a bit off. His FCLJ mates couldn't help smirk a little about the fact that the shot not only went wide, it did so on the wrong side of the corner flag. Hague 2 were so determined to attack through the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 76 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for A. Linderhof who increased Hague 2's lead to 0 - 5. After this, Hague 2 lowered the tempo and tried to look experienced, just doing what was needed to secure the lead. The game had been on for 80 minutes when A. Linderhof advanced to the right, rounded the defence and slammed in the 0 - 6 goal for Hague 2. This third goal meant a hat trick for A. Linderhof, which caused his mother to cheer for him in a rather embarrassing manner. Hague 2's J. van Bremen received a play slashing through the home side's central defence after 81 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 7 goal. The loyal few along the sidelines were not pleased with that one. R. Hirdes could have made a name for himself when he, after 83 minutes, almost extended the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball looped into the middle, but the home side's keeper P. Castel collected it. Hague 2 didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 68 percent of the possession.

The FCLJ players gave I. Nederlof a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". On the other hand, L. van Hout's performance hadn't been very good at all. The spectators agreed that the most impressive boy in Hague 2 today had been A. Linderhof. E. Ligthart showed he still has a lot to learn. At final whistle, the score is 0 - 7.
