After some beautiful movement down the left wing, H. Obi scored for Vointa putting them ahead 3 - 2, after 66 minutes. After 83 minutes, Vointa began to show their lack of experience and they threatened to wilt under the heavy pressure from their opposition. Unirea levelled the score after 84 minutes to make it 3 - 3, as T. Palade struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. Unirea had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. Unirea took the lead 96 minutes into the game, making the score 3 - 4 after some elegant movement down the middle. T. Palade was the scorer.
