Valentain 6 - 0 Guedalfao (98255120)

Clouds darkened the skies at Valentain Arena as 4368 spectators turned up for the match. Bobby Faeh was the appointed referee. Valentain had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Dragoman - Chaves, Ştefănescu, Dahl - Mäkelä, Jaunģelzis, Eihenbergs, Uškurs, Hervanta - Vanparijs, Stevens.

Guedalfao tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Regtop - Grimaldi, Oversø, Paffen - Snijders, Kozyrev, Ojakõiv, Kalda, Jegindø - Berović, Bartyla.

Guedalfao mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. M. Dahl gave Valentain the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Things were going to get worse for the visitors. R. Stevens squirmed through their central defence after 29 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. Valentain managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when R. Stevens cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. With 35 minutes played, Valentain put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to A. Hervanta, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Valentain claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 71 percent.

Things were going to get worse for the visitors. R. Stevens squirmed through their central defence after 50 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. By then R. Stevens had scored three goals - a hat trick! At this point, it was obvious that the players of Valentain lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Valentain solidified their lead at the 58 minute mark, as M. Ştefănescu dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 0. 77 minutes into the game, K. Eihenbergs had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came A. Hooijberg. Valentain's R. Stevens swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. P. Oversø of Guedalfao received a yellow card after 80 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Valentain's L. Chaves had an excellent opportunity after 83 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave V. Kalda from Guedalfao a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 84 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! There was no way Valentain's M. Dahl could continue to play after this, and no replacements were available! Valentain enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

G. Dragoman performed admirably for Valentain. A. Hooijberg on the other hand, had a terrible day. J. Paffen performed admirably for Guedalfao. P. Oversø on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 6 - 0.
