Padilla placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but L. Ros couldn't finish. The referee showed Pinsa's D. Čular the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Unfortunately for Valencia, G. Gargallo was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. A. Abad replaced him. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, R. Turapin took over the role of being the Valencia captain. After 29 minutes, Valencia's N. Giovinazzo found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 2 - 0. J. Riediker of Pinsa received a yellow card after 31 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. With 33 minutes played, E. Padilla had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Pinsa had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

Morale on the visitors' bench was greatly improved when their V. Savikoski reduced the lead to make it 2 - 1 after 59 minutes, following a pass from the right. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave B. Nonthawasee from Valencia a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 60 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Due to a severely mistimed tackle, S. Jaros of Pinsa spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Y. Kwannah's penalty kick ended up in the arms of the keeper, preventing the equaliser, 62 minutes into the game. A. Abad was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Valencia's D. Tini managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 3 - 1 By now, the players in Valencia felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 71 minutes into the match, Pinsa replied and reduced the lead to 3 - 2. J. Riediker scored on a marvellous cross pass coming in from the left. With 71 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after E. Padilla came through the middle, but his kick went wide. The visiting team's Y. Kwannah was able to score the 3 - 3 equaliser with a header 85 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. Pinsa enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. 3 - 4 was the score with 92 minutes played, after E. Doz cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Pinsa. This put an end to extra time, making Pinsa the winners. Valencia's top performer was clearly B. Nonthawasee. A. Abad turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Pinsa player was L. Ros. J. Costas on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 4.
