previous 2/5 next 4/5  Lokomotive 0 - 2 March-Höfe (266669949)

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 37131 that came out to Stade Guillaume de Pierrefleur. Lucas Leroux was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Floyd Brinson and Asser Backman. Lokomotive decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. They fielded: Vayá - Menz, Holvoet, Larsson - Andreoli, Montes, van der Weert, Spychiger, Stickling - Funar, Fenninger.

March-Höfe started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Martin - Lengenacher, Villabajo, Laforêt - Goor, Wuillemin, Chatellenaz, Cami, Schnitzer - Masset, Pouloyiannis.

After a fine move down the middle B. Andreoli nearly gave the home side a goal after 2 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. K. Schnitzer was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from March-Höfe's defence 3 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 0 - 1. A. Spychiger enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Lokomotive put pressure on the visitors' central defence 30 minutes into the game, but O. Fenninger couldn't find an opening. With 31 minutes played, the excellent ball from the wing by March-Höfe's K. Schnitzer reached D. Masset's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 0 - 2. N. Pouloyiannis could have put his team up another goal 38 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Lokomotive had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

The referee showed Lokomotive's D. Holvoet the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Lokomotive's M. Montes was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 75 minutes. M. Giedrojć was given a chance to change things around. The Lokomotive coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. Possession in this half belonged to Lokomotive, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

Lokomotive's best player was A. Spychiger. On the other hand, J. Vayá's play was disheartening. The most dominating March-Höfe player was without a doubt G. Cami. D. Masset on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.
