babich 0 - 2 Schweppes
(333447384)

06-07-2011 12.30
A scorching day at
Zuper Chaouen Arena, where 5508 spectators were in place for today's match.
Iancu Bucur was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Hilmar Bakken and
Hansjoachim Wagrainäcker.
babich started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Companys - Weninger, Mantere, Fuentes, Bikas - Milićević, Kubinszki, Nerpidi, Rios - Vilela, Palojärvi.
A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Schweppes.
They fielded: Omay - Laguillo Fernandez, Beffort, Hemmen, Lambert, Vodsgaard - Lavaud, Nicolay, Habert - Rouchy, Louvel.
Schweppes clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
With 3 minutes gone,
J. Habert suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Schweppes caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring.
Schweppes's goal to make the score 0 - 1 came via a questionable penalty, but
D. Louvel struck it home without a second thought.
35 minutes into the game, babich seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
passable level of organisation.
40 minutes into the game, babich seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
weak.
babich's
M. Milićević was shown a yellow card after 41 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
It was 0 - 1 at the break.
Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.
The babich players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
passable organisation when the game started again.
After 70 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as babich found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
75 minutes into the game,
P. Fuentes had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
L. Morais.
After 77 minutes, babich's
B. Kubinszki fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
As usual,
J. Habert tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all.
After 84 minutes, Schweppes's
A. Hemmen burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2.
After this, you could see that the players of Schweppes were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
86 minutes into the game, babich had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
poor.
Schweppes had to manage with a reduced squad after 87 minutes, as
D. Louvel got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action.
Unfortunately for babich,
J. Companys was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
F. Darmois replaced him.
Schweppes enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
R. Palojärvi performed admirably for babich.
F. Darmois turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Schweppes player was without a doubt
R. Lambert.
On the other hand,
A. Omay's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 2.
