Urbschat placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Content with how the game was proceeding, the POIGNY coach let H. Stolpe replace P. Alcalá after 24 minutes. The POIGNY players could smell victory in the air. H. Wąsowicz wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for K. Jürisoo after 24 minutes. With 33 minutes played, H. Stolpe nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. T. Collet got a fingertip on R. Gargallo's shot from the left 38 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. POIGNY enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

Jürisoo finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by POIGNY, with 62 percent of the ball.
