The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 21281 had shown up at
A&K GÜCÜ for the match.
Mauro Guilizzoni was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Edgar Mosquera and
Stefan Sundhult.
A-lee had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation.
They fielded: Višķeris - Sözer, Świątek, Hasen - Adli, Pando, Margueritte, Celil - Kalācis, Orbek, Genovese.
Akrakaspor started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
The following players took the field: Drejka - Gürtuna, Payboğa, Ventura, Wolkenhaar - Tutya, Piyale, Rapino, Davril, Erünlü - Zelenkovič.
Akrakaspor tried to focus their attacks down the middle.
A-lee fans held their breath as
H. Adli scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0!
The referee showed A-lee's
H. Margueritte the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
After 32 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
G. Kalācis gave the A-lee supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0.
38 minutes in, Akrakaspor appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
solid.
Coming in on the left,
R. Zelenkovič did everything right to get a goal for Akrakaspor after 39 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper.
After 40 minutes of the match, the manager still hoped to turn things around.
C. Davril was ordered to assume a different position on the pitch. He took the place of
M. Piyale, who in turn replaced his team mate.
With 40 minutes gone, A-lee's
H. Margueritte had to leave the pitch after talking back to the referee and receiving his second booking.
T. Payboğa of Akrakaspor received a yellow card after 42 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
G. Kalācis increased the lead for A-lee to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
By now, the players in A-lee felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
After 44 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Akrakaspor found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
3 - 0 was the halftime score.
A-lee claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Akrakaspor was able to get his message across, and raised Akrakaspor's organisation to
solid.
M. Sözer rose like a salmon, and was very close to scoring with a header after a corner, but sent the ball just over the bar.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Akrakaspor's
C. Davril was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 60 minutes.
E. Köksal was given a chance to change things around.
Akrakaspor needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 65 minutes
A. Erünlü made way for
M. Özkılıç.
69 minutes into the game, Akrakaspor had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
weak.
73 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
M. Sözer broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for A-lee.
A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 74 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called Akrakaspor's
E. Köksal to one side and produced a red card for the player.
The visitors got one back when
A. Rapino finished off a pass from the left and scored after 75 minutes. 4 - 1 was the score.
76 minutes into the game, Akrakaspor seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
poor level of organisation.
A-lee's
G. Kalācis swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
Cheers filled the stadium as
G. Kalācis broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 1 to A-lee.
At that,
G. Kalācis was noted down for a hat trick!
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of A-lee to 6 - 1 as
A. Genovese finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by A-lee, with 64 percent of the ball.
A-lee's best player was
G. Kalācis.
However,
S. Hasen made a disastrous appearance.
Most important Akrakaspor player was
R. Zelenkovič.
P. Drejka was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 6 - 1.
