Fenice were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. 4 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for duviteam was S. García de Barrosa. 10 minutes in, Fenice's W. Azevedo received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. It was obvious that team duviteam had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. A. Beñat should probably have put his team up another goal after 26 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by R. Villabona kept the visitors in the game. The visitors refused to give in and, after 32 minutes, S. Radović from duviteam a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 34 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Fenice were forced into a substitution as W. Azevedo couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing T. Gurgone to come in off the bench. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 40 minutes allowed A. Peron to score for Fenice. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. duviteam's A. Pribek was shown a yellow card after 42 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 47 minutes gave duviteam a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and J. Balasch stepped up to the challenge. 2 - 2 After 60 minutes, Fenice's C. Pelosi fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! duviteam broke through on the left 70 minutes into the game, with J. Balasch firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 3 - 2 lead. The visitors' F. Buonocore was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 3 - 3 after 81 minutes. duviteam claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

S. García de Barrosa performed admirably for duviteam. P. Battaglini was a disappointment, however. Fenice's best player was P. Mannazzu. On the other hand, E. Johansson's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 3.
