GSB mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 63 minutes, but A. Bar was unable to convert from short range. N. Coruxeira was called on to replace Cigüeñas's G. Tassoni after 89 minutes following a nasty collision. J. Eichler was handed the Cigüeñas captain's armband. GSB claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

After the regular 90 minutes, the agony of extra time followed. 96 minutes into the match GSB's A. Bar head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. L. Lamarain had a good try after 98 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. It was obvious that GSB had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. After 100 minutes, H. Rolo came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving GSB the lead. This put an end to extra time, making GSB the winners. Most important GSB player was J. Grzimek. M. Dziubałka on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Cigüeñas player was without a doubt M. Moleiro. N. Coruxeira was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 0.
