(363698120)

25-01-2012 09.45
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 3135 that came out to
Justice for Hungary.
Vicente Barreto was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Lukas Constantini and
Gregorio Pérez.
Avion had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Lineup: Simon - Hirka, Englert, Rossbacher - Carboni, Rátkai, Kópicz, Wild, Jánvári - Kurfis, Borbély.
SCTV tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination.
They fielded: Claus - Aranha, Monteiro, Azevedo - Tortajada, Sombreireiro, Sombreireiro, Duarte - Fonte Pereira, Teives, Melo.
Avion took the lead 7 minutes in, as
M. Kurfis broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
With 9 minutes played, Avion put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
S. Borbély, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
S. Borbély was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Avion's
M. Jánvári managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 3 - 0
The home side's
S. Borbély came close to extending the lead 19 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
W. Claus managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
23 minutes in, SCTV's
S. Sombreireiro received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
The sun seemed to put
S. Sombreireiro in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
Avion's
C. Wild swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
K. Aranha's lack of experience almost gave Avion a goal after 34 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms.
Cheers filled the stadium as
B. Carboni broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Avion.
Confident in their lead, Avion's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
4 - 0 was the halftime score.
Avion enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
The referee showed SCTV's
P. Fonte Pereira the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
A loud groan was heard from the fans of Avion, as
C. Wild left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match.
E. Mészáros took his place on the field.
J. Teives had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper
L. Simon was simply unbeatable.
With 79 minutes played,
P. Tortajada had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal.
Avion solidified their lead at the 81 minute mark, as
S. Borbély dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0.
SCTV were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 86 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to
M. Azevedo, who smashed it home to make the score 5 - 1.
SCTV had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.
Avion's top performer was clearly
M. Kurfis.
D. Rátkai was a disappointment, however.
Most important SCTV player was
H. Melo.
On the other hand,
D. Monteiro's play was disheartening.
The match ends 5 - 1.
