CACCIA 1 - 0 S.S.CAVE
(363779278)

24-01-2012 19.10
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 335 to
Via Del Convento Arena.
Clément Melot was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Denis Vrbetić and
Kuba Wrzeszcz.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for CACCIA.
The following players took the field: Orlandi - Accorsi, Avenoso, Vieira - Brotto, Breton, Klinger, Gaspar, Doublet - Baccigalupi, Bocco.
S.S.CAVE had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation.
They fielded: Sette - Mehru, Ledžius, Lemaire, Gaudiano - Scirgolea, Tambini, Amitrani, Raucci, Lind - Birch.
CACCIA were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
At 25 minutes played,
A. Vieira came in from the right with the intention of giving CACCIA the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar.
CACCIA's
A. Brotto had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 26 minutes having been played.
E. Ribas was the replacement.
C. Orlandi looked great 27 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors'
P. Scirgolea.
32 minutes into the game, S.S.CAVE seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
passable.
Some great play up the middle by CACCIA led to a chance for
M. Klinger to score after 38 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.
After 41 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as S.S.CAVE found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
poor.
After 42 minutes
E. Ribas made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to
G. Bocco who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 0.
The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 43 minutes,
T. Birch broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper.
C. Orlandi made a great block, though.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by CACCIA, with 52 percent of the ball.
The S.S.CAVE players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
passable organisation when the game started again.
P. Accorsi wanted to play on, but the CACCIA coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by
K. Dardas.
The coach of CACCIA was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes,
F. De Nardi came on for
N. Breton.
CACCIA's
F. De Nardi was shown a yellow card after 72 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
G. Bocco unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
E. Ribas from CACCIA a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 82 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Possession in this half belonged to CACCIA, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.
G. Bocco performed admirably for CACCIA.
C. Orlandi turned in a dismal performance, however.
S.S.CAVE's top performer was clearly
T. Birch.
On the other hand,
E. Mehru's play was disheartening.
The match ends 1 - 0.
