Ros Ramis received a blow to the hip in a collision and was unable to continue. Poznan, with no available replacements, now faced the prospect of finishing the game with a reduced number of players. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Lux85, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. Lux85 managed to extend their lead to 4 - 2 when S. Grafitte cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. The referee showed Lux85's C. Amori the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Lux85's G. Minei saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 43 minutes. 4 - 2 was the halftime score. After 53 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by G. Maës might have resulted in another goal for Lux85. However, K. Aslaksen made a spectacular save. After 57 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and C. Amori gave the Lux85 supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 2. A. Michnicki's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert J. Piscaglia was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Poznan. 5 - 3. Lux85 solidified their lead at the 60 minute mark, as P. Strippoli dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 3. Confident in their lead, Lux85's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. When J. Spiesen was badly injured by a couple of strong tackles after 63 minutes, Poznan fans were unhappy to discover that it was not possible to make a substitution. J. Piscaglia was handed the Poznan captain's armband. Lux85's S. Grafitte increased the lead to 7 - 3, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 79 minutes. Lux85 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.
