VECCHIO had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Tarallo.

VECCHIO mostly relied on their long range shooting ability.
It was an obvious ambition of Tarallo to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
D. Weitzer scored for VECCHIO putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 9 minutes.
It was obvious that the tactic of the day for VECCHIO was to go for long shots, but in order to score they have to do better than the shooting attempt from
G. Gramstad after 15 minutes, which was a total failure.
With 19 minutes played, VECCHIO's
B. Lissau almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
VECCHIO enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.
The coach of VECCHIO was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes,
A. Mora came on for
E. Olaizola.
D. Weitzer wanted to play on, but the VECCHIO coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by
M. Dali.
59 minutes into the game,
I. Furnică had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
E. Zatykó.
60 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
S. Meilink broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for VECCHIO.
M. Kügler should probably have put his team up another goal after 66 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
W. Antonietti kept the visitors in the game.
After 73 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
A. Sanjuán might have resulted in another goal for VECCHIO. However,
W. Antonietti made a spectacular save.
The VECCHIO players could smell victory in the air.
S. Meilink wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
L. Ablett after 75 minutes.
Some beautiful play by VECCHIO set up
J. Boekweg in a good shooting position after 77 minutes, but
W. Antonietti made a great save on the low hard shot.
VECCHIO had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.
VECCHIO's best player was
V. Rotondo.
On the other hand,
A. Mora's play was disheartening.
L. Weissen performed admirably for Tarallo.
E. Zatykó was a disappointment, however.
