(364073311)

07-02-2012 19.15
The 3256 fans in attendance at
Imperial Arena were roasting in the hot sun.
Nuutti Hurskainen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Magnus Irstrand and
Fernando La Motte.
Atletico decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Lineup: Parra - Fernandes, Svenningsen, van Gog - Nilsson, Gunale, Knaust, Iosip, Gómez - Ilyés, Podolak.
Kalleboys started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Obukhov - Extercatte, Kozlovskiy, Verbaan, Vouk - Stancu, Toro Delgado, Novičić, 瞬方 (Shunfang) - Münzberg, Briceño.
The wings were the focus of most of Atletico's attacks today.
It was an obvious ambition of Kalleboys to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
9 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Atletico to take the lead after a good cross from the right found
A. Gunale alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post.
Atletico's
G. Ilyés was shown a yellow card after 12 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
16 minutes into the game,
A. Obukhov had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
M. Kontna.
With 17 minutes played
K. Podolak almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide.
After 22 minutes, Atletico's
G. Knaust fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
J. van Gog gave Atletico the lead with a beautiful free kick after 29 minutes. 1 - 0!
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Atletico claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.
D. Vouk wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Atletico scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
A. Gunale after 67 minutes.
It wasn't a good day at all for
J. Toro Delgado. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Atletico to 3 - 0 as
G. Ilyés finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
After this, you could see that the players of Atletico were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
The sun seemed to put
A. Gunale in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
It was obvious that Atletico had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
Atletico increased the lead as
G. Knaust struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
Atletico put themselves up 5 - 0 when
K. Podolak broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
S. Stancu of Kalleboys was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Atletico, with 71 percent of the ball.
S. Nilsson performed admirably for Atletico.
However,
K. Podolak made a disastrous appearance.
Kalleboys's best player was
K. Münzberg.
D. Vouk turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 5 - 0.
