Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Bramsche Arena saw a crowd turnout of 17641. Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Bramsche was able to get his message across, and raised Bramsche's organisation to solid. The Garbsen players could smell victory in the air. F. Montecchiani wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for P. Boga after 46 minutes. Bramsche's E. Hoeft almost tied things up with 51 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post. After 56 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave D. Fürhacker a chance to increase the lead for Garbsen, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. 63 minutes into the game, Bramsche had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. A penalty was awarded after 74 minutes, and M. Meherg made the most of his chance to put Garbsen up by another goal. 0 - 3 for the visitors. The players of Garbsen now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Bramsche reduced the lead to 1 - 3 with 83 minutes on the clock when L. Gschwandtner got the best of a ball floated in from the left. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Garbsen coach let P. Wielgus replace H. Corrigan after 88 minutes. Garbsen claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

The most dominating Bramsche player was without a doubt F. Norem. A. Galloni was a disappointment, however. D. Fürhacker performed admirably for Garbsen. However, P. Wielgus made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 3.
