Bramsche 1 - 3 Garbsen
(364449990)

21-02-2012 18.30
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Bramsche Arena saw a crowd turnout of 17641.
Raymond van Doesselaar was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Wim Jaumot and
Stéphane Guéret.
The derby had been the talk of
Niedersachsen all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.
Bramsche decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
Starters: Paschke - Menetetter, Pappalardo, Hoeft - Tiedmannsdorff, Rainer, Norem, Kipp - Galloni, Blicharska, Gschwandtner.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Garbsen.
Lineup: Ruffat - Montecchiani, Corrigan, Czernek - Axer, Pusat, Coco, Meherg, Hoeness - Fürhacker, Casasola.
Today, Garbsen's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks.
Given a free kick in a difficult position after 4 minutes, Garbsen tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish.
13 minutes into the game, Bramsche seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
weak.
Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 20 minutes into the match left Garbsen's
N. Casasola completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
J. Everblom was called on to replace Bramsche's
A. Blicharska after 39 minutes following a nasty collision.
0 - 1 was the halftime score.
Garbsen enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Bramsche was able to get his message across, and raised Bramsche's organisation to
solid.
The Garbsen players could smell victory in the air.
F. Montecchiani wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
P. Boga after 46 minutes.
Bramsche's
E. Hoeft almost tied things up with 51 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post.
After 56 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
D. Fürhacker a chance to increase the lead for Garbsen, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2.
63 minutes into the game, Bramsche had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
inadequate.
A penalty was awarded after 74 minutes, and
M. Meherg made the most of his chance to put Garbsen up by another goal. 0 - 3 for the visitors.
The players of Garbsen now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
Bramsche reduced the lead to 1 - 3 with 83 minutes on the clock when
L. Gschwandtner got the best of a ball floated in from the left.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Garbsen coach let
P. Wielgus replace
H. Corrigan after 88 minutes.
Garbsen claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
The most dominating Bramsche player was without a doubt
F. Norem.
A. Galloni was a disappointment, however.
D. Fürhacker performed admirably for Garbsen.
However,
P. Wielgus made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 3.
