The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 45902 had shown up at Maracanà for the match. Niko Harjula was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bela Petrut and Niklas Ibrahim. Forze took the lead after 18 minutes as a result of G. á Kirkjuteigi's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. Forze put themselves up 2 - 0 when G. á Kirkjuteigi broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Forze's W. Genty increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 24 minutes. M. Schalke should probably have put his team up another goal after 25 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by E. Triuzzi kept the visitors in the game. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Forze to 4 - 0 as R. Scharnhauser finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. The players of Forze now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Forze, with 58 percent of the ball.

With 50 minutes played, Forze put themselves up 5 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to N. Chevallier, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Forze's M. Schalke increasing the lead to 6 - 0. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave W. Genty from Forze a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 70 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Things were deteriorating for the away team as Forze scored another to make it 7 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for J. bin Hussain after 72 minutes. After 76 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and R. Scharnhauser gave the Forze supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 8 - 0. 77 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as R. Scharnhauser broke through, making the score 9 - 0 for Forze. At that, R. Scharnhauser was noted down for a hat trick! T. Gunnarsson wanted to play on, but the Forze coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by E. Hirvonen. Forze claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

Most important Forze player was A. Labis. G. á Kirkjuteigi turned in a dismal performance, however. G. Sebastiani performed admirably for NoPain. G. Roidinger was a disappointment, however. The match ends 9 - 0.
