The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 35 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from M. La Ratta, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. The goal for 2 - 0 was a funny story: after 40 minutes the seemingly nonchalant lob from Tacuba's M. La Ratta landed at the feet of L. Piripilli who sidefooted it into the net - nice goal! At this point, it was obvious that the players of Tacuba lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Tacuba had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Carcarlese needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes G. Sansores made way for V. Švatarák. Carcarlese certainly deserved a goal after some stunning play down the left, but K. Vesterling just wasn't able to finish. 83 minutes into the game, G. Melchiorri had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came S. Belli. Tacuba enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

L. Piripilli performed admirably for Tacuba. M. Morettini was a disappointment, however. Carcarlese's best player was M. Quadrio Curzo. V. Švatarák on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 0.
