Tommy 2 - 2 Neppew
(366222323)

10-03-2012 12.20
18012 spectators arrived at
Real Tommy Bee Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Květoslav Toncar was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Víctor Portal and
Rickard Blommar.
A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Tommy.
The following players took the field: Forster - Fiesoli, Angrilli, Blanchet, Turcu, Rubio - Höstborn, de Hartog, Gächter, Kudulis - Wuttke.
Neppew tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Pachistre - Revshøj, Remonato, Övseme - Petralia, Schrüllkamp, Virgadamo, Spadoni, Spangberg - Wermiński, Kiiski.
It was obvious that Tommy were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic.
Neppew were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 10 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
M. Rubio, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
Tommy's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends.
The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 30 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but
A. Forster got the best of it, blocking the shot from
N. Kiiski.
Neppew will have to do without
B. Spangberg for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 32 minute mark. He was substituted by
K. Ćesko.
Tommy pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Tommy, with 52 percent of the ball.
47 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
J. Angrilli broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Tommy.
What ever got into
P. de Hartog, the crowd mumbled, as he suddenly struck a cross pass through his own defence - ending up right in front of Neppew's
M. Wermiński, who easily put the ball away for 2 - 1 after 57 minutes.
Neppew were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
The Neppew free kick 73 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
M. Wermiński, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 2!
Neppew had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
The most dominating Tommy player was without a doubt
P. de Hartog.
A. Forster turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important Neppew player was
R. Virgadamo.
P. Revshøj was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 2.
